The first village that we cross is Buonconvento, whose city centre deserves a visit. Walk along a track parallel to the street towards Montalcino,
 leave it and undertake the route rich in dream-like views of Val d’Orcia, along white streets leading to Torrenieri. Then you walk on a disused track along Via Cassia, still asphalted, to arrive in San Quirico, welcoming you with a marvellous collegiate church. Road-houses and water are only in the inhabited centres of Buonconvento e Torrenieri.
