Past the first climb, outside of Fornovo, keep on walking along a provincial track in Val Sporzana to reach Bardone and Terenzo,
 two little villages including two wonderful Pieve. A difficult hill leads to Casola Castle, then go up and down through a wood of conifers that pilgrims undertake heading for the Hostel of Cassio. Pay attention to the 39 Secondary Road in the sections where the roadway narrows. Outside the populated areas there is no water supply.
